Poppy Flower Picture... Me and The OthersThese are deep orange and yellow Icelandic poppies.
They are pure joy to have in a vase in your home.
I bought them at a flower market in a bunch of ten buds.
They started popping open a day after I bought them.
These poppies are rarely available at our flower market.
I only see them every now and then and only
when they are in season. They last quite a few days in a vase.
I think it was almost a week.
Icelandic poppies bloom white and yellow in the wild.
Their botanical name is Papaver nudicaule.
Icelandic cultivars come in
white, cream, yellow, orange,
salmon and pink colors.
