Why do I write "Gerbera" with a capital letter? When you use the plant's genus name to refer to it, you write it with a capital letter. You will write "Gerbera" and not "gerbera", because Gerbera is the genus. But, when you use other names for the plant, you do not write it with a capital letter. That is why you write "gerber" and not "Gerber".
About the picture: This is quite a large pink gerber daisy. The background is a blue glass bowl filled with water. The pink gerber daisy is floating on the water. In general I prefer Gerberas with green centers. Like the one in the picture. But, you also get pink petals with dark centers.
