Pea Flower

This is a pea flower. In this vegetable flower picture you can see that the flower is white, but for the rest it looks very much like a sweet pea's flower. The major difference in the flowers of real peas and sweet peas is that there is only one flower on a stem.

The flower drops after a few days and then the pod develops.

Pea Flower

This pea flower picture is fresh from our garden. You can also see the fascinating tendrils of the plant in the photo.

It's fun to have a few of these plants in your vegetable garden. I love to eat them young and fresh from the plant. To me it's the best way to eat them.
