Livingstone Daisy
"Pretty Pink..."

About the Picture
This pink Livingstone daisy picture was taken shortly after I snipped the flower of the plant. I didn't expect the flower to last more than a few minutes or maybe an hour or two. I did put it water. The flower closed in low light, but it opened again the next day!
Most Interesting
There are two things I find very interesting about this flower. The one is the intensity of the pink petals. The other thing is the folds and creases that you see in the petals after the flower has opened. It looks like the petals are made of paper. I am guessing, but I think the folds and creases happen because the petals are tightly packed in the bud before it blooms.
- Plant Name: Mesembryanthemum
