Easy Lavender Plant Care

Lavender plant care... it's easy to make a pretty lavender picture!
Sunshine
Our lavenders like a lot of sunshine... full sun. Too little and they will struggle and may even die.
Drainage
Good drainage is important. They don't want wet feet... no, no. My garden doesn't have the best drainage, but then the lavenders do not get that much water.
Prune
You need to prune to have a beautiful and happy plant. If you do not prune, you get a leggy plant. There will be long dead branches without leaves. And, they tend to stay!
What else do we do for the lavenders?
Not much! Yearly pruning and that is it. They can last for many years, but eventually we need to replace them.

Background
The background of the picture is a lawn. It is far in the background and out of focus. It makes a good backdrop for the lavender plant. If you look really closely, you can see spots in the background. It is large seedpods that falls all over the place... this happens in spring.
