Hydrangea Plant
The Hydrangea plant and its lovely flowers are an unbeatable flowering plant for growing and displaying large colorful flowers indoors and outdoors.
Hydrangeas are often called hortensia, but it’s not the scientific name.
What's in the Name
The name Hydrangea comes from two words. The one word is hydra which means water and the other angeion which means vessel or jug in Greek. The botanist Grovonius named the plant in 1739 and he though that the fruit of the flower looked like a water pitcher of the time.

They are used as garden plants, outdoor potted plants, indoor potted plants, fresh cut flowers and dried flowers. So you can see that if you have the plant in your garden that you can enjoy these beautiful blooms all year round.
