I couldn't resist taking close-up pictures of this beautiful pink flower. We generally see the pompom as a whole. However the detail is so interesting.

The flowers of the same plant were blue and purple last year. It was a pleasant surprise to have them pink this year. We didn't do anything consciously to change the color!
