My own desktop background changes frequently. Sometimes I even change it more than once a day. Some backgrounds work better than others. And, I have the excuse that I need to test the different backgrounds... I only want to put the really good ones on the website!Change as Often as You Like
Different color backgrounds appeal to different people. Also, it depends on the frame of mind you're in. Yesterday's background, may not be the best today.
