They also have been in the garden. I am guessing now... but I think it is probably one of the first flower names that I learned. I learned the name "pig's ears" ... directly translated. It is so easy to recognize. There is no other like it. It has a strikingly simple form.
About the picture: I took this photo in my garden. The plant grows in shade, very close to the house.

Not one, but many colors.
