Calla Lilies
Calla lilies have been part of my life for as long as I can remember...
They also have been in the garden. I am guessing now... but I think it is probably one of the first flower names that I learned. I learned the name "pig's ears" ... directly translated. It is so easy to recognize. There is no other like it. It has a strikingly simple form.
"White Silk"...
About the picture: I took this photo in my garden. The plant grows in shade, very close to the house.
Other Names...- arum lily
- pig lily
- Zantedeschia is the genus name

More PicturesI have many pictures of arum lilies. But, I really wanted to have pictures of colored callas on flower-pictures-online.com. I went on a trip to a large garden center. I was specifically interested in getting some colored ones.

In the Wild I went on a short vacation in November 2006. I was pleasantly surprised to find callas growing wild at the roadside. And
I did get the picture.
Rainbow of Colors I was pleasantly surprised by one of my
Christmas gifts ...
"pig's ears" bulbs. Not one, but many colors.
Here are a few of the colors of these lovely flowers... yellow, purple, black, and orange. They are extremely colorful!
